My husband and I spent a weekend here which was just amazing! Max and Alice are fab hosts and nothing was too much trouble! We got to help feed the calves and even taste some of the pork sausages made on the farm. The beautiful cabin we stayed in was clean, warm and cosy with everything we needed for the weekend. I particularly liked the log burner which kept us so warm. Colesmoor Farm is a beautiful and tranquil location, the drive from London took us through several pretty villages. We also explored surrounding areas and were just blown away by the beauty of Dorset. It was just the getaway we needed. We cannot wait to return! UPDATE: We returned last year and it was once again a lovely retreat. However, the neighbouring farm appeared to be having a horse event with commentating on a speaker which was slightly annoying. We returned again this year for the Jubilee bank holiday weekend. It was wonderful being in such a beautiful location. However, it seems one of the neighbouring fields is now used for event hire and someone was getting married so it was rather noisy and intrusive, not what you want to hear when you want a tranquil setting. We did enjoy seeing all the animals again and taking a 4 hour walk through beautiful fields and farms.
