My daughter has just come back from a school trip here and didnt enjoy it, she said the food wasnt great, the bed was so uncomfortable there was kids crying through the night and night ninjas walking through corridors at night making sure kids fell asleep, the cups they drank out of were dirty inside, in the morning a mans voice opened the door and said its time to get up! I feel awful as a mum knowing all she wanted to do was come home over the 2 days!! Shes come back full of a cold and unwell. When its my youngest daughters turn to go in yr5/6 unfortunately I will be saying no to this trip!

So, absolutely great activities! I loved my stay here. My complaints are the bedrooms, the food and some of the facilities. Bedrooms - i stayed in one of the girls ones. The room was extremely small, and in the room i was in, there were 8 girls, including me. When we got to our rooms when we arrived, we were all tired after we had to HIKE a long way, to get to the dorm rooms, they told us to sort out all our luggage, pack a bag with showering stuff and spare clothes, and MAKE OUR BEDS. Yes, i know that kids that are old enough should make their beds but you would of thought they would already be made. 1. Our room was dirty and the lighys took 3 seconds to turn on. We had two seperate rooms in one. 3 bunks in the tiny room, and two single beds in a large room. In that room, we found a c eaten, spilled pack of skittles. Staff just couldn't of cleaned our room before we came? it was not that homely, which i know, it didnt need to be so amazingly decorated because it was just the place we slept but, having a room with just beds with metal bed frames, no pictures , no TV , no artwork, no shelves, some kids might find it hard to be away from home, and having it look a little bit more child-friendly would have helped alot. 2. The emergency button. Yes, you should tell kids about if incase there is an emergency or a child needs help. But, in my dorm, i had a girl (who to be honest, wasn't to nice and she was not too smart in this case) she would press it many times when we were told to press it once. But, in my defense, the 'night guards' would take around 15 minutes to get to the room and they couldn't really do anything. Plus, they were a little bit rude. Not all of them! Just the men were (No offense ) i remember one of the ladies that came, she had rainbow hair and she comforted my friend who was homesick and was crying. She didnt yell at us or say we were over-reacting, she was very calm . Packing for the trip You might be scared if you dont pack something, but your school should give you a list of items. Eletronics were not allowed (unless you NEEDED it, for like if you need it to track you glucose levels if you have diabetes.) They were not allowed as they could make home sickness worse. My Journey! day 1 We just got out of the bus, after an hour long trip. We were at a parking area for the coach and buses only. We met our group leaders and would follow them in a single file line as we were by a road and cars were driving by, then we passed a canal and the sight of it was beautiful. We walked over a bridge and then we just had to hike to the top. There was a girk who had asthma so they let her travel up the mountain in a car with school staff. When we got to the top, we found our luggage dumped in a pile on the floor and we had to try and find our own suitcase. We were then led to the building we were staying in, and we had a piece of paper on the door (plus the door was painted and was very nice) the paper said who was staying in the dorm. I found out i was in the room with the most people (7 other girls) and i was thrilled to know that 3 of my best friends were in there with me! We had to make our beds and my bff practically made everyones beds since none of us knew how to (we acctually did know but it was quite difficult to do in such a small room so we all helped eachother and we had to do it one at a time FOR EIGHT BEDS. Anyways.. after that, we went down to the courtyard where all the helmets and kit bags were. My group all had to grab a kit bag and hed back to our room. There was a picture on the wall that explained what to pack, we all opened our suitcases and packed : spare clothes, 1 pair of shoes and socks, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. We also brought a towel and a hairbrush if you needed to. Then, my whole class all met up outside at the courtyard and we headed to a room. (I just forgot, we packed our bag and took it with us after this.) We were in one of the empty archery rooms with tables in. We sat in a circle and picked what lunch, dinner and dessert we wanted for the 3 days.

I'm a student who went this month and I'm going next year too. The activities are great and challenging but you are 100% safe. Sadly, I only got one go on the giant swing while everyone else got two but it's okay. The group leaders are kind and the night staff are nice and kind. The only thing I have to complain about is the bedrooms. They're tiny and the bed sheets were coming off of everybody's beds, not to mention the fact that there's a painting of birds staring at you. You have to of brushed your hair, gotten dressed, and brushed your teeth all in five minutes but that's fine because you are busy doing fun activities all day. The food was alright but could've been better, I handled it though. I'm going to rate all of the activities now. Dungeon 8/10 Giant Swing 10/10 Archery 10/10 Crate Challenge 10/10 Climbing 0/10 (it hurt my hands and I don't like climbing but if your child likes rock climbing then they'll love it) Night Line 8/10 Zip Wire 120000/10 Knight's Quest 7/10 Piranha Pool 12000 Trapeze 0/10 (I didn't like the fact that I was rock climbing up a wall and then jumping onto a bar but it's okay because I did do it in the end and I'm sure your child will love it) Caving 6/10 (I'm extremely claustrophobic) Canoeing 9/10 Challenge Course 8/10 SEND YOUR KIDS !!
