Had Deta switch plates & sockets fitted across the house when we had a major extension 16 years ago - now wanted to put a few matching switch plates & hdmi enhanced sockets in to match existing chrome with white. Couldn't find them anywhere & the stockist which (I'm reliably told) did still have them was not responding to enquiries. One e mail to Deta CS and I received helpful info by return with a link to a web seller that currently supplies the range. Now ordered & thanks to Deta CS I' in the good books at home ! Result ..

I had a couple of smoke alarms, 2 to 3 years old, kept going off. Spoke to technical dept. at Deta and they confirmed 5 year warranty. I returned the smoke alarms and was advised that they were faulty. Two replacements alarms were posted out to me. I have to say great customer service guys, much appreciated.

Never experienced such poor customer service. I had a faulty smoke alarm which was within 5 year warranty period from when I moved into property but Deta said it was over 5 years since it was manufactured so they wouldn't replace it. I offered to buy one but they wouldn't sell me one as they were keeping them to replace faulty ones still under warranty! As they were incompatible with any others I have now had 3 Aico smoke alarms fitted to replace them.

We have a new build which is wired using Deta 13 amp sockets and light switches,cooker switch and fused spurs for dishwasher etc.We have experienced at least 6 socket switch failure and a fused spurs switch failure.Supposedly we were told by the builder that these had a lifetime guarantee but the builders are not interested saying it's the electrician and quests what the electrician says.These are I am advised electrical fittings made for new build at a cost effective pricing.Whilst they are nice looking fittings,they are inferior to the expected quality
