A lot of hard work is being put into this pub by the new owners and its paying off. Six of us went for dinner. There was a really good atmosphere inside, and the live music that started later in the evening was well supported. The food overall was a good standard and fair value. The only disappointing bit was dessert. I tried that crumble which turned out to be an upside down crumble, which obviously doesnt work - its a soggy not a crumble. I think that it was meant to be apple crumble, but the sugar content was off the scale (almost inedibly so) and so all flavour was lost. We will go again, but skip dessert.

Enjoyed an excellent lunch with family today. Good selection at the bar, food very good (particularly the belly pork starter). The landlord was very attentive to our needs and friendly. Will certainly be back in the near future and highly recommend to others.

New owners are really nice and doing a great job. Friendly staff and good food. Eaten there a few times now with the new menu and it keeps getting better each time, pizzas are really nice!. Its great to have the village pub back!

Rob and Michelle have turned the Spotted Ox around big time. So good to see the pub packed out on a Friday night. Food is back and is delicious. Quiz and Bingo nights on alternate Mondays are great fun. Local singers pack the place out Can't wait for more to come in summertime when the beer garden is open to hog roasts and BBQs! Keep up the stirling work!
