Tiverton Baptist Church

Went for lunch club meeting in Hall behind church. Very pleasant and friendly place. Nice welcome. Some parking behind church.

Cold and heartless. The Minister couldn't be bothered to answer phone calls and did not make the church available for my fathers funeral. My father, Len Morris, had worked tirelessly for the Church and held office there for 20 years as had 3 generations of my mother's family, continuously over 100 years. At a time of bereavement, especially for my mother married 68 years, it was a kick in the teeth, distressing, unjust. I am appalled at the offhand and cruel manner we experienced. My only comfort is Dad didn't witness how his widow was so badly treated. Hypocrisy in action. There are many Churches in Tiverton, any one of them would be a better choice than Tiverton Baptist. Given the historic building and central location it would be more useful turned into flats, cafe and a gym.
