Jade Palace

The food is always good here so I ordered one to be delivered to my daughters flat in Fareham last night. The sweet n sour balls and prawn toast was well overcooked. So much so that they should have been thrown out and the chef start again. The rest of the meal was as good as it always is but as I paid over 30 for the two of us, I felt disappointed. I don't think my daughter would order from here again but will stick with her favourite, Canton Express. The order service and delivery were fine too, it just seems that anything deep fried was incinerated and no prawn crackers!

We have just ordered a takeaway and didn't actually get what we ordered - we were given an extra portion of a meal that we didn't want (only ordered one but given an extra one and paid for 2 it turns out) and we ordered 2 sweet and sour chicken and it definitely wasn't sweet and sour....very disappointed and ended up paying 5 more than we should have.... not a very happy customer here and food very bland.

I ordered the house chow mein, lemon chicken and some chips. We asked for no onions or peppers in the chow mein. For what we paid, we had decent portion size and they did as we asked and left the onions and peppers out. What stood out the most and is the reason we would definitely eat here again is the quality of the food was simply done and yet tasted really fresh. Not oily or greasy like some takeaways. That was a highlight and we would highly recommend Jade Palace to others!

Love the food here and the owners really are amazing cooks, learnt how to say thankyou in Cantonese, I think they appreciated it! Doh jeh
