Not Just Backs... Osteopathic Practice

I have been seeing Frances @ Not Just Backs for several years, for both chronic and acute problems. She is clearly a very experienced Osteopath who quickly gains an understanding of the problems you are experiencing and what you hope to achieve from the treatment. She is also very good company while you are having the treatment! I have been impressed with the systems the Not Just Backs team have in place to help protect you in regards to COVID-19. I have felt very comfortable during my treatments. It is clear that the Osteopaths and Receptionists are working together to ensure a seamless service while these extra measures are required.

Excellent and efficient service, and really know their stuff. Very clean examination rooms, professional staff, and results that are almost immediately apparent in my case - highly recommended.

It's the place to go. Stiff back, shoulder and arm culminating in a back spasm meant re-starting my search for a good osteopath. After poor experiences locally I'd almost decided to take a trip back to my osteopath in Belgium where osteopathy is very much mainstream, but that's another story. However, a friend recommended NJB. A thorough first assessment and treatment eased symptoms and increased mobility. A short course of treatments restored full flexibility. Thanks Rhian. So, go to NJB - it's a no-brainer!

It is very difficult to find fault with the care I have received at Not Just Backs in Tisbury. I am 64 and work as a software developer, spending lots of time in front of a computer creating mobile apps and websites for my clients. Due to my height, I would end up hunched over my keyboard, locked up tight with neck and shoulder pain, an aching lower back and walking like an old man at the end of a stressful week with looming deadlines. Other osteopaths had tried to straighten me out and failed, doctors had tried to fob me off with painkillers, and all of the best office chairs and ergonomic equipment I could find did nothing to improve my discomfort. I had even begun to consider getting out of the software industry altogether simply because it didnt feel right for my long term health. Then I was introduced to Not Just Backs... Thanks to Rhian and her regular care and maintenance, I am once again able to do my job comfortably and without pain. Over time she has analysed and improved my working posture, helped me develop stretches and exercises to ensure I remain loose and free of tension, and has even loaned pillows to try to improve my comfort and care for my neck when sleeping. The stress and deadlines in the job remain, but thanks to Rhian and Not Just Backs I no longer have to contend with the aches and pains that go with it.

Went a number of times with my new born daughter for cranial osteopathy. Dani was perfectly calm and gentle and I looked forward to follow up appointments. Would certainly recommend taking babies who appear to be in discomfort. Had a session myself which was very relaxing.
