Asda Tiptree Supermarket

A small supermarket, but has more than a cornershop at really good prices.

Literally rubbish for an asda.

Signs up in Asda store Tiptree saying Wine offer, 25% off on 6 bottles. Duly purchased 6 bottles of red wine plus other items and paid at checkout. On arriving home noticed no 25% discount! Returned to store and was told by the 'acting duty manager' that the offer had finished to which I replied that there were signs up in store advertising the offer. The 'acting duty manager' wanted me to show him where the sign was and attempted to take me to another part of the wine display but I went to where I last saw them to find an assistant taking them down. The 'acting duty manager', without making eye contact, said the offer had finished and would not honour the offer as it was alcohol! What!! Rubbish excuse! Offered me a 'good will' voucher that when queried it would not have equalled the 25% off. Sanctimoniously and patronisingly asked me if I had ever made a mistake which obviously means that he had done! I'm wondering if a 'proper' manager had dealt with this the outcome would have been different. Maybe the 'acting duty manager' should have another stint at Asda school and pay more attention to the lesson that deals with customer service! Refused the good will voucher as there wasn't any. In answer to your reply to my review ... "Hi Bob, Here at Asda we take pride in our customer service, so I'm sorry to hear of this. If you could please provide the date and time of your visit and a description of the colleague, we can then get this logged with store so this can be looked into. Speak soon, Tasha" Would you rather send me an email address or are you happy that your Tiptree acting duty manager's details are posted on the internet?
