What a place to train - you will have a pick amongst the trainers who teach you attentively. Mr Cooper very technical/knowledgeable - Matt - adjusts and gives you plenty of techniques and Mr Lee provides mental toughness. You have plenty to learn and its been an amazing year. Unfortunately for me I have moved some distance away - I can only hope I can find a place half as good as this.

My son attends mac at Dudley, he's been going from the age of 4. During his time at Mac he has worked really well with Mr Cooper and Mr Stanford. His Confidence and skills have improved massively during his time in cubs and now juniors, he has made lots of friends of all ages. If your looking for a Mac group I'd definitely recommend this one.

Been going here 6-8 months and thought I'd give the reviews a look. Not surprised it's rated so highly as it's an excellent place to train and the coaches are knowledgeable, friendly, patient and helpful! Sometimes it can be a bit tricky to follow instruction if it's significantly complex, but if you ask them to clarify anything or help you, they will without hesitation. As the weeks go by I find it easier and easier to understand what's happening and to do it, so it is a bit of a learning curve but it will click. Beyond that, the coaches encourage students to be respectful and friendly as well and I've met some amazing people (and gotten to punch them!). I was a little anxious going to something like this as an adult incase I embarrassed myself but I never had a single problem. If I partnered with someone better than me (which was every one at that point) they were also patient and understanding (as they were in that position once too). Now I'm a bit further along I realise that no matter your partner's skill level, you can always learn something even if it's not what to do. I'm also pretty unfit, that's not much of a problem most of the time as it's more about technique than stamina. Being heavier also gives me an advantage in some areas, you're taught to lean into your advantage rather than forced into something you can't do. It can be a little pricey, but only if you compare it to a gym or something - which it isn't. It's a school. Once you break down the monthly cost to how much it works out per session it works out as pretty good value for money. I will say the gear they sell is a little on the high side (it is of good quality so there's that) The times also work really well for me. At the Dudley site they do mon-thur 7pm to 8pm (then an advanced class 8pm to 9pm), Saturday at 11am to 12pm and Monday and Thursday at 10:30am till 11:30am. The other sites have different times and as far as I understand you can use any of them. Overall, I'd say if you're interested in something like this, go for it. Some of the other reviews mention that you're locked in to a contract and stuff but this is not so much my experience. They seem flexible and accomodating and if you find it's not for you I have no doubt they'd be able to work something out. You'll probably be dealing with Lee for any of the admin stuff and he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met. If I could go back in time, obviously the first thing I'd tell myself is to buy bitcoin in 2008. The 2nd would be to get down to MAC and learn some fightin'. Thanks team!
