Amazing location, castle, staff. Weird owner/artist in attendance who will key you see his studio and sing you a song prior to the embarrassing hard sell of his artwork. Rooms consist of 4 poster beds, leather couch and then the bathrooms ...... has to be seen to be believed, tiny, plastic, seventies camper van bathrooms. Horrible!!!

I loved staying there, the staff were lovely and helpful, the bed was super comfortable and the view out of the window was phenomenal. I do have a few things to point out, though. The lift was not working properly, we were able to use it a couple of times but considering we had a disability issue going up 3 flights of stairs was painful when the lift kept breaking down. At one point going down the stairs we heard the panic button being pressed, yet if not for us going down and letting reception know that there was someone in there, I have a feeling they would have stayed stuck for a lot longer. Ted was super friendly and nice to come and greet us. But overall, I had a feeling that the entire hotel had the intention to showcase his art, which, amazing as it might or not be becomes slightly overwhelming when it's on every wall. There could be some space to represent Cornwall, local art and crafts and the histories and myths surrounding Tintagel. I felt the same about the photos at the reception area, one of the co-owners had a few walls dedicated to all the celebrities they have met, but it felt out of place, not to mention the political messages about Trump. We did love our stay, hanging in the bar and meeting new people was fantastic, the music was a bit all over the place, but the view made up for it.
