Gorgeous. That's the one word I can think of to sum up this place. Staying here is an experience in itself rather than simply somewhere nice to lay your head. The place is packed full of beautiful original features and riddled with details and touches that transport you back to yesteryear. Whats-more, on site are 2 other historic sights other than the Vicarage itself (a medieval Dove cot and chapel), and the location is minutes walk from Tintagel centre and St Materiana's Church. Whilst being right on top of the action, the Vicarage itself is set in a secluded spot off the main drag which ensures a peaceful stay in wonderful surroundings.

Weve just come back from our stay in the cottage, and it was perfect. We could tell a lot of effort had gone into cleaning the cottage, the kitchen is extremely well equipped - the front room was lovely, with lots of comfy seating and beautiful window seats for reading. We dont recognise any of the points from the poor review above - dishwasher worked fine, plenty of sharp knives and the place was - genuinely - spotless, and the owners friendly but left us to ourselves.

Poor experience. Would not recommend. Owner sat in his garden window spying on our activities throughout. If you value your privacy would find alternative accommodation. House has damp and mould issues throughout. Would also frankly suggest that people in the holiday cottage business be hospitable and actually enjoy being around people. Edit: frying pan and kitchen equipment were so bad we had to buy our own kitchen knives. Dishwasher did not actually work. If you look at listing photos of the property on booking, etc the dining table is already stained. Perhaps if he was so concerned with appearance and maintenance of property could provide equipment that was not exclusivity from his own rubbish pile -- like trivets for the table that were not made of PLASTIC or a kitchen knife that actually could slice anything). Im not in the mood to subsidise his own cashflow issues from his B&B having to shut down.
