Called The Leak Detection Company when our heating system lost pressure over the course of an hour or so. Jamie came out, ran some tests and found the issue - a leaking pipe joint on a towel rail. Replaced the joint, refilled and all was good again. Took a few visits to nail it down but the service was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. I would highly recommend this company. Nick the engineer who came out, was very knowledgeable, hardworking and professional. He explained to me what he was going to do to detect a leak and how he was going to repair the leak. It was an underfloor leak which Nick quickly found using a couple of high-tech effective tools. He then proceeded to repair the leaking pipe and at the same time he recommended the replacement of the adjoining pipe which could be expected to cause problems in future if not replaced at this opportunity. I took up Nick's recommendation and now feel confident that the piping can now be overlaid with flooring and I don't need to worry about future leaks from this area. Claire, who took my call for help, was also great and contacted me when she received a cancellation as she understood the urgency of the problem. Additionally, I was very pleased with the comprehensive report that I received very soon after the work was complete. I'll be honest: I was very wary of getting a company in with no guarantees of finding a central heating leak I knew was under a concrete floor somewhere in my house. I was scared I'd throw a lot of money and not get it resolved. Luckily my fears were unfounded. We had an engineer called Jamie. When he turned up at my house straight away he was very careful with our property, putting on shoe protectors straight away. Lots of very clever testing later (heat detection, damp detection, gas tracing), he found a location where he was certain the leak was. He kept me informed throughout the morning what he was doing, and asked if I wanted to go ahead and allow him to excavate the pipework. Considering this involved breaking into a concrete floor in my kitchen, there was barely any mess, he was tidying up as he went. Excavation was handled so well, considering there were gas pipes also underground to be carefully navigated around. A couple of hours later all the pipework was on show (about a 40cm square), and also the leaking pipe was found! Half hour or so later new pipework had been welded in place, and the system was tested and proved to be working. Overall I can't recommend this company enough. From the first phone call I had with the company (a lady sorry I can't remember your name), who was extremely helpful and didn't rush me and answered all my questions, to Jamie who was informative and polite, and also the detailed report I received the day after.
