Wow. Totally amazing and beautiful, cozy and contemporary cottage set in a lovely Peak District village. The cottage itself has everything you need for a stay; totally faultless and spotless whilst being relaxingly snug. Julie and Nigel have thought of everything from the stunning decor to small finishing touches staying true to a classic contemporary style of refined elegance. Like walking into the catalogue of The White Company but so much nicer! Lovely welcome package waiting for us with Prosecco, cake, bread, butter and even a dog toy and treats making our pooch feel like its her second home. The village has everything you need; highly recommend Elliots Fish & Chips (lovely to meet the man himself whos been here since 1976), N T Gibbs Organic Butchers and High Nellys Cafe for artisan coffee; lunch, brunch and tasty cakes. We finished with Sunday lunch at Merchants Yard; amazing food. Definitely coming back to explore more of the Monsal Trail and there is a definite possibility that we may not leave at all.

The Old Toffee Shop has been Perfect! We booked a weekend stay over the bank holiday for a girls birthday weekend, we were greeted by a bottle of prosecco, cakes and a birthday gift from the hosts which was such a lovely touch! TOTS has everything youd ever need for a break away wether it be for yourself or your pooch. The village is lovely from morning walks with the dog and joyful good mornings from the neighbours to sitting out in the garden and being able to chat with anyone who walks by. We were lucky enough to have the local pub less than 5 minutes down the road play live music all weekend and I cant fault one place that we ate for food, beyond your usual pub grub they were lush! Well be back without a doubt, I can imagine the cottage is wonderful in winter Thanks again Julie & Nigel! Amy, Willow & The Gang xx
