Highly recommend these cottages for a family/group walking break. We stayed late December for 3 nights as a group of 13. The house is very comfortable and although in the middle of nowhere, in a good location if you like walking. It had a secure enclosed garden for our dog. From our front door we walked to Castleton and back, amongst other places, and definitely dusted away the Christmas cobwebs! The rooms are all single beds and bunks, and may not be ideal for some, but for a 3 night break our extended family didnt mind sharing all sharing. We all had a lovely stay and definitely wouldnt rule out staying again. Many thanks to the hosts!

We stayed at Hulmes Vale holiday cottages over new year with a large group of 21 adults and 8 kids. The cottages were in a scenic peaceful location with a lovely country feel about them. They were very clean, warm and had all the necessary amenities needed for a large group stay. Kate was very helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Would highly recommend.

Great location, Great communication, Great accommodation! I highly recommend, we stayed in Holmes Barn, with 20 of us (Some of us used the put-up beds / mattresses in the property) Overall, a great experience and great stay Plenty of room when used properly, massive dining table that seated all of us around it, other than 3 (but sofa's around to make use of) Property is also Dog Friendly! Only things I would report on Would be the road down to the property (especially the top is very bumpy - take your time going down and avoid going right when driving out - unless taking a big left swing round) An additional bathroom in place or two would be handy, only two showers on the property. (An extension looks to be in place, so maybe this is for that) Again, otherwise we found the stay amazing! Regards Owen / The Travel Squad
