The Spoon Cafe, Thurcroft. 8min drive from M18 J1 and 12min from M1 J31. I'm telling you this because this little cafe on the main street is a gem. I visited after lots of friends told me how good the food was. On my visit I was very early so opted for the full English Breakfast. 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 1 egg, hashbrown, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and black pudding. Choice of 2 slides of bread, toast or fried bread with tea or coffee. Wait for it..... I got change from a fiver (5) How do these places do it??? The two women behind the counter were welcoming and engaging with the customers. The venue was clean and tidy with no obvious stains, smells or hygiene issues. My food was served hot and on time, all cutlery, plates and cups were clean and matching. Salt/pepper on the table, all other condiments neatly stored in a separate area available to the customer. A steady flow of customers attending during my visit. The cafe is on the main street so expect parking to be a problem at busy times, although there are off streets within a 2 min walk, so this should not put you off visiting. If I lived closer I would easily become a regular, I will visit again to try out their daily specials as I have also heard by several people these are also tasty and value for money. In these time of rising prices who doesn't want value. Spoon Cafe offers that. If this review was informative enough for you give it a thumbs up for others.
