Stephens Engineering

After having issues with my Merc 2019 gearbox I contacted various Garages. They were all fairly unhelpful and vague with the diagnostic work required. So I looked further afield, 50 miles, and contacted Stephen's Engineering. It was refreshing to find that they were very helpful, knowledgeable and honest. In the end my local Mercedes Dealership finally agreed to cover the work but if they hadn't I would have had the car trailered to Stephens Engineering. Fantastic Customer Service.

After a leaky gearbox I called a few places who didnt want to touch my gearbox because it was a 7G box (Mercedes), I remember my dad using a place many years ago when he had restored a rover p6 giving his gearbox to these guys (sure they was near a406) I had forgotten the name so it was abit hard to find but when I did I booked in right away, got the car towed down on the Sunday and posted the keys, Im a mechanic but refuse to touch gearboxes myself so its odd for me to leave my car with someone but always a first but I knew it was in safe hands, I picked the car up about 2 weeks later after it was done and it did a 300 mile trip the next day without fail and the gearshifts are now super smooth and seem less its actually brought the love back into driving the car again, Only fail was the payment the bank didnt let me send the full amount via transfer which was annoying so had to rush down after work and pay via card luckily got there 5 minutes before they closed, 10/10 for service Although was a-bit afraid on the Monday after dropping the car on a Sunday wasnt sure if they got my car or key so I had to call in to Make sure but thats nothing major Lovely people happily got to meet them when picking the car up, Thank you! Great people, they serviced my DSG wich afterwards changed gears very smoothly,and bow they serviced my 7gtronic, great to have such a place very close to home. The best thing about this place is inside,wich is like a cool engineering museum! They take their time to explain what has been done and give you great advice every time.Thank you for your great service!
