Very enjoyable afternoon visit to the grounds of TH. Some elements of the gardens had clearly coped with the last 16 months more successfully.

The gardens were open for Historic Houses Association members this afternoon. We were kindly offered umbrellas as it was raining and there was hand sanitiser available. We enjoyed the many different moments in the gardens, where plants/trees had been unexpectedly grouped together. We loved the fact that we had it to ourselves apart from a couple of hardworking gardeners but even if there had been a lot of people there are many secret places so you wouldn't feel you were all in a heap. It's a challenge not having any lavatories open and without the chance of a cup of tea and piece of cake but hopefully it will all be available again in due course.
