now had the fire and surround for a year and it has been fantastic. The owner is knowledgeable and thorough and made the move from real fire to gas log effect fire so smooth. Lovely selection fir all tastes.

Disappointing, unhelpful, expensive. Purchased a Charlton & Jenkins fire about four years ago, a total waste of money. The retailer told us if we had any issues we should not contact them, but we had to contact the manufacturers: Charlton & Jenkins Ltd. in the entire time we have had this fire, despite having it serviced a few times, we have not been able to use more than a handful of times, each time we have had to change batteries, both in the actual fire and the hand control, which we find it to be totally unacceptable. Being pensioners, we find the cost of this fire totally not commensurate with the efficiency of it. We do not recommend either the fire or the retailer.
