I know the owner reads these reviews and I know that this pub has changed hands a few times in the past few years but this pub is crying out for serving breakfasts! I've eaten here a few times and food and service are very good, I just wish there was a bit more in the garden for kids to do.... A slide, a few swings, you are nearly there... Beautiful pub by a busy road and close to some stunning villages, this one is worth a go.

Booked a table for two . Arrived shown to our table quite empty for a Saturday evening. Ordered drinks . Ordered food which took 40 minutes for starters.. then waited a further 30 minutes for mains. Pasta carbonara and rump steak.. pasta was bland no flavour so inedible and left. Rump steak was just warm.. had to go up to the bar for drink top up. . . Service very poor.. eventually plates cleared and we asked for bill . We would have stayed for dessert but as we had waited so long 2hours... and only 1 meal eaten we decided to leave.. no customer service from staff no asking if we wanted a dessert or coffee.. we got the carbonara taken off the bill... still came to 46 for 2x lemonades. 1 orange juice. 2x starters and a steak. Over priced bad food and bad service will not be coming back again.

Came for a meal with family for a birthday. Unfortunately the food took over an hour to come out and when it did some of the dishes were cold. The waitress did not apologise, nor advise the reason for the lateness (we were the only table in the restaurant). The meals also came out at separate times meaning some of our party ate later than others. The food was a mediocre standard and the pub itself was so cold we had to sit in our coats. Unfortunately would not recommend this pub. The last time we visited over a year ago, it was lovely so unsure if there has been a recent change of hands.
