Ashfield Cottages Lockton

We had a lovely August bank holiday weekend in the Garden Room. Really comfortable accommodation for 2, and very peaceful. Enjoyed breakfast outside in the secluded garden, and inside there was plenty of space for dining, storage and relaxing. Simon and Carol are a lovely friendly couple who are happy to provide local tips, and live next door should you need anything. There are walks right on your doorstep and lots more within a short drive. All in all highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay in Ashfield Cottage number 2 very much! The accommodation exceeded all our expectations. Carol and Simon are very helpful and welcoming people. Highly recommended. Lockton is a small village with beautiful rural surroundings and there are plenty of things to do. - hike to Skelton Tower and Levisham train station - cycle to Robin Hood's Bay via Dalby forest - cycle the Cinder Track from Scarborough to Whitby - visit Pickering train station (1930's themed train station) - visit Pickering Castle - visit Lockton Tea Rooms & Gallery.

A 3 night break in the Garden Room exceeded our expectations and was perfect for relaxing after spending some "full on" time with our family in South Yorkshire. The property is nicely decorated, sensibly equipped and well maintained. Thank you, Carol, for your advice on Dalby Forest, the coast and the local eateries. All much appreciated. We hope to return!
