We contacted Mel Speak to design a Japanese garden for the front if our bungalow. Mel had a blank canvas as we had cleared the site already. She is extremely well organised, professional, reliable & an excellent time keeper with her appointments Mel's attention to detail is excellent She carried out a detailed site survey, listened to our ideas & suggestions & then produced a fabulous garden design building on our ideas with her own skills, knowledge & planting plan expertise. This was produced both digitally & on paper. We are very happy with the garden design & can't wait to see it develop. We would highly recommend Mel Speak Garden Design service. Service: Garden design

We contacted Mel to see if she would be able to redesign our borders. She listened to our brief, provided excellent professional advice and the designs are awesome. Have met a true garden angel in Mel. My rear garden had been sadly neglected for the past two years following a death of a close family member. It was tired and looking very lost with overgrown shrubs and plenty of weeds, then I found this garden angel who immediately fired hope into reinstating my garden. Within two days shrubs were moved around and other received a good trim, some new plants were introduced and even as winter approaches I have something to be proud of. Mel produced a wonderful design for our small front garden, including a plan for landscaping and a planting plan. She listened fully to and incorporated all our requirements - which included wanting easy to care for, shade tolerant plants and dog friendly plants and surfaces. She was able to advise on the best choices whilst always listening to and understanding our aims. We used a landscaper that Mel recommended and had some planters custom made by a recommended local business. Mel made the whole process incredibly easy by overseeing the landscaping, sourcing plants and planting these for us. She was very diligent about getting the right plants for the right spot. At every stage she kept us fully updated and all costs were reasonable. We are incredibly happy with the outcome which has transformed a previously underused and rather awkward shady site into a really lovely space. Service: Garden design
