I hired John & Pete to carry out work at my house in Spring 2021 just as we came out of lockdown. They had been recommended to me by both my mother-in-law and some neighbours of ours. The goal was the renovation and re-design of the bathrooms in a house we had just moved into that sorely needed some attention. This involved structural changes to the upstairs bathrooms which despite being absolutely necessary, were going to be far from easy to achieve. From the beginning, John gave me a very erudite email which showed a deep level of understanding of what would be required to achieve what we wanted. John & Pete then both planned/strategised for the work and created a flow in their work which meant they thought 3 or 4 moves ahead the entire time to plan for and then circumvent the inevitable structural and logistical obstacles/surprises. A flavour of the work they carried out for me involved: - replacing and restoring pipework/toilets + soil pipes/electric circuits/floor boards - they really can do it all and are certified electricians to boot! - removing walls - installing sliding doors within the walls - tiling the first bathroom and using precision tile cuts despite some slant/curve in the ceilling - collecting heavy and large materials from B&Q/Topps Tiles /Screwfix /delivery hubs in Leeds etc and bringing all these to the house which saved me time & money - fitting splashwalls around the 2nd bathroom which again was hugely challenging in terms of the cuts and weave of the ceiling lines - creating a cradle for the bath which gave an integrated look to the 2nd bathroom and improving the use of space in an otherwise small room. I could go on and on but needless to say they impressed me hugely with their focus, flexibility, attention to detail and work ethic. They are great guys to boot and have become good friends .... but.... be aware that they usually arrive even before 8am for work most days so you better be an early riser! I was extremely happy with the end product of their work. The skill and level of craftmanship they displayed has been endorsed by virtually all who have seen the bathrooms since. The contrast now compared to what was there before is stark to say the least! (as the photos below will likely emphasise). I have since had them back to make other successful alterations to the house and plan to continue utilising their expertise in the years to come. I know they are in high demand as 1/2 of my street accosted them for work/opinions whilst they were here but I hope they can continue to find time for me going forward :)

John and Peter have just finished a second project at our house. The first was to make alterations to the position of some domestic appliances, something which we had been told was impossible to do, well not impossible for John and Peter, they set to work and did the job quickly, efficiently and economically. That is a typical example of their can do attitude, they solve problems with logic and good humour making everything look so easy, nothing is too much trouble. They listen to what we want and do their best to deliver that even if it means more work for them.When contemplating removing the wall between our kitchen and dining room, we needed to look no further than John and Peter and sure enough they delivered exactly what we wanted in record time and with the minimum of fuss and mess. They try to keep costs to a minimum and indeed saved us a great deal of money. We are absolutely delighted with their work and would never contemplate using anyone else, we cannot recommend them highly enough. They are versatile and diligent, offering solutions rather than presenting obstacles, true craftsmen. They are fantastic.

John and Pete are absolutely great, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone. They were recommended to us by another tradesman we were using for a specific issue. We were really stressed after moving house from another city into a house that needed a lot of work. They came in, fixed issue after issue, and to be honest we haven't felt stressed about it since. They do pretty much everything too, which also helped us to feel less stressed. They are efficient, tidy, really considerate, great with our kids and are some of the most hardworking people I know. They always take the time to explain exactly what they're doing, and it's really reassuring. They did lots of research on the things we needed, and really go the extra length - for example, they went to the effort of identifying a a towel rail that was heavily reduced in price, which saved us a lot of money, and they didn't need to do that, they just did. Another time we had a problem with the heating and John was round that evening, despite it being a Friday night and even though we were out that weekend so there wasn't too pressing a time issue for us. We consider them friends now, they are also a really good laugh and we hate coming home to an empty house now!
