        Visited pub on a Tuesday evening, was told didn't serve food, advised to go into Thirsk centre. Didn't have drinks but looked a nice pub

        This seems a popular place. A nice mix of people when we were in, a saturday night in january. I was pleasently surprised by how many people were in as most of the pubs in the market square were pretty quiet. There is a decent selection of drinks on offer and comfortable seats if you want to rest your weary self. I have been in a few times previously and will continue to do so.
