I was burgled in Xmas day Night after falling asleep on the sofa I woke up thinking my daughter had got out of bed to discover a hooded man Come diwn my stairs. He had been in by daughters room, woken her n frightened her to death t then when I realised I didn't know this person shouted at him until he left. When I called the police they didn't even log it as a crime as I couldn't tell if anything had been stolen and my daughter had left the backdoor open. They were clocking off in half hr and couldn't be bothered to deal withit. They blamed the fact he made up some story about looking for somewhere to sleep they let him go. If they had pnc checked him they world have realised he had 16 counts of burglary already. I noticed fifty pounds Xmas money of my child's had gone. When I called to let them know I was disgusted to be told no crime had been logged. They let me believe he was arrested but drove him away n let him go round the corner. I felt so let diwn. My daughter andi had been traumatised and noone cared. We didn't matter obviously. Police attended Agsin and were fantastic. They suggested I complain as the y told me the police initially failed to do their job. The guy was arrested n questioned and not charged due to lack of evidence. I can understand if they can't convict but not bothering was devastating. If thru had searched him they could have potentially recovered my money. Terrible care !!!!
