Had my Pfizer jab this morning - supremely efficient process, from the local surgery contacts and car park attendants right through to the reception staff, marshalling volunteers, medical staff and admin. Well done to the NHS and thanks to everyone!

From Staff on Reception to Doctors and Nurses who work tirelessly to help us get back on road to health and see us through extremely hard times in our lives, including Cancer right through to support and care with mental health problems, the list is endless, my file alone is soo thick with my Cancer and mental health issues and going through loss of my poor husband also through cancer, they have been wonderful, they have gone above and beyond in my opinion and helping me deal with poorly elderly Mother also and another family member with cancer again. I cannot thank them all enough for their dedication, care and support. 5 stars don't seem enough really for what they do. Bless you all there. Massive thanks and appreciation. Rebecca Green

Really wish I could put 0 stars. Quick back story. My partner's doctor requested an appointment for a chest x-ray with them a month ago. He has been waiting for surgery for a grade 3 ACJ separation since February 2020. The doctor believed that the shoulder injury could be putting pressure on his sternum causing severe pain in the chest cavity and minor breathing difficulties. Whilst it is enough to cause concern, it doesn't warrant an emergency x-ray for A&E. The centre is an hour away via public transport, and when he arrived at the centre they informed him that the radiologist had cancelled his appointment 2 days ago saying that there was no medical cause for him to have an x-ray and he would have to be referred by a specialist before being accepted. I find it disgusting that he not only wasn't called by someone to inform him of the cancellation, which put him at COVID risk and the cost of unnecessary travel. But to be turned away by someone who doesn't know the full history of the situation, and despite the fact his doctor agreed this needed to be investigated, I find it utterly disgraceful that he was treated in this manner. My partner, who is already struggling with his mental health after waiting over 18 months for the surgery, came home completely dejected. He is in constant pain due to the pressure in his chest and can't get the correct treatment, or be referred to a specialist, without the doctor knowing if it is the injury causing the problem or something else that we aren't aware of. Rant over, but here is my reasoning for the 1 star: 1.)The centre should have called AND written to notify him of the cancellation 2.) The decision for the cancellation should have been made BEFORE 2 days prior an appointment and a letter sent to him and his GP to fully explain the reasoning for the cancellation 3.) The radiologist should not have cancelled the appointment without first discussing their concerns of the referral with the GP to understand the full story. Should any of the above had happened, I would not have felt compelled to write this review. I really hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else, and we will certainly be asking the GP to avoid using this incompetent facility in the future.
