Completed signing of LPA after a previous meeting to discuss requirements. All seems to have gone smoothly. Friendly staff who were very understanding and patient with my elderly mother. Gave us options that we had not considered. Very thorough. Would recommend.

It took four attempts to get an accurate quotation from MCP for a simple conveyancing transaction. Each time I pointed out the error, I would receive the same quotation still with the error (incorrect property number so not a complicated issue to fix.) I then instructed them, and after two weeks they had still not responded at all. I called 6 times during this period and each time either the phone wasn't answered or I was told "It would be looked into". I never received a call back. Eventually, two full weeks after my initial contact, I received a pointed email saying that I obviously "have some urgency to the matter" and as such they would not be able to assist me. Given the upcoming stamp duty changes, there is indeed some urgency to the matter, but I do not consider it unreasonable to expect a file to be opened and have received at least an initial letter in the space of two weeks. It is extremely disappointing to have to chase something 6 times before getting even a cursory response. Had MCP informed me when I requested a quotation that they had a high workload and were unable to handle even the most basic paperwork in a timely manner, I would not have wasted two weeks of my time.
