Dan is a very patient and knowledgable film photographer. I attended a Film Development 1:! workshop. Dan has a really good customised set up in Peckham Heights. Dan went through some basics and I was able to learn loading the film in the bag reasonably quickly. I have developed 2 films at home subsequently and it's been a breeze I also purchased a developing bag that Dan has designed. It is very different from the usual black ones and it is worth a buy. Bought a workshop here as a birthday gift, and received an automatic confirmation, but then had a cancellation email and refund a couple of days later with no explanation. I'd emailed initially to ask about receiving a gift voucher, and again to query the cancellation, but never had a response to either- pretty dsappointing especially as this looks like a great local business.

I really enjoyed doing the MF workshop - the day went a good pace and I felt able to ask any questions that came to mind. Dan was very patient as well as making the day fun. Highly recommend!

It's been a good 15 years since I was in a darkroom but I'd been wanting to get back in and rebuild my confidence in it. I could not have asked for a better experience or better instructor than Dan. He was extremely flexible with my timings and the whole experience was amazing. It was so fantastic being back in the darkroom, developing film and making my own prints. Dan is a great instructor but also allows you to be independent and encourages experimentation. He's got a great darkroom in a fantastic location and I'm already looking at booking more time in there.
