Extremely RUDE owner with a clear chip on his shoulder. Overpriced 'vegan' food that tastes like cardboard. Not an authentic chippy. Avoid.

I was very lucky to have my friend bring me some battered Vegan fish from Cod Fellas in London to Germany and wow that was something. I assume the batter is beer based and was tasty, crunchy and not overly greasy. The Vegan fish or Vish itself was so good, almost bringing a slight tear to my eye as I originally come from the coast and it takes me back. The texture was very pleasant too, slightly flaky with a meaty feel and lightly smoked flavour. I can't speak for the actual spot but when I'm next in london I'll definitely be heading straight here to have what I missed out on. If the Vish was that good after a day of travel I literally salivate at the thought to try it fresh. I hear that the team are really friendly, informative and passionate about their product and recipe. Also those portion sizes are fantastic! All more reasons to go.

I visited Codfellas yesterday with my family. None of us are vegan but I heard another customer raving about the Tofish so I thought I would try it. Wow if I could find this where I live in Milton Keynes, I would never bother to eat fish again. It was soooo very good. The pretend fish skin was made from seaweed. I understand that it took 6 months to perfect the recipe and it is outstanding. The fish and chip shop is quirky and really welcoming, the staff were all very friendly and it is licensed too! I am so glad that I decided to try the tofu fish, even the rest of my family who chose the cod option tried it and agreed that it is delicious.
