After there was some damage to the floor, I asked them to advise on how to fix it. They said the floor would have to be totally sanded and restained by them to attempt to restore the original colour, which they couldn't guarantee 100%. This would have taken a number of days and cost several 000. I asked if there was any other way that this could be repaired, even if it wasn't perfect. They said no.
I managed to get hold of the name of the producer of the wooden floors (which AH Peck refused to provide me - presumably so they could get me to hand over 000s instead). This wood company told me that I could simply hand sand the small areas of damage and they apply a simple 3 step treatment which they sold me fo 40. They were quite surprised that I had been told this by AH Peck as they said one of the key benefits of this kind of oil stained floor is that it can be easily repaired without full sanding.
Above all, I'm disappointed that AH Peck wouldn't even tell me the name of the company that produced my own floors.
