        When mum's condition progressed and "at home care" was longer enough she moved into Emberbrook Carehome: one of the few places that we had visited where both the people and staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. I was still worried that she might spend all day alone in her room though so I asked the Activities Team to involve mum in everything regardless of whether she could actually join in or not. Almost every time I went to visit Mum she would be involved in some sort of activity with her little group of (mostly centenarian!) friends and was hardly ever alone in her room. Diana was relaxed and happy at Emberbrook and the activities team played a big role in that happiness.

        I visited Emberbrook Care Home on Care Home Open Day. I just wanted to thank Emberbrook Care Home and Brighterkind for having me at their Care Home Open day. I was very lucky to meet some of their inspirational residents along with their amazing care home team. The amount of time and effort that goes into providing the highest level of care is outstanding and I don't think you realise this until you actually step behind the scenes of a nursing home! Thank you again and keep up the good work!
