Super polite and friendly staff. Good selection of products. I especially like the fresh Scottish type crispy rolls they sell. They made a fantastic breakfast bacon roll!

Service has gone to hell in a handcart since Mr & Mrs Patel left a couple of months ago. The shop is a mess and dirty as they are taking too long to merge it with next door, which they had owned previously. They are not prepared to go out of their way for customers, like saving newspapers (which they don't deliver), or ordering any. I won't go there again after 12 years of excellent service from Mr & Mrs Patel.

For starters, I live very close to Jay News, about 5 minutes by walk. This off license store has never failed to supply the most essential items people nearby would possibly need. Even during lockdown, when everyone were rushing to the shops to stock up on food and cleansing products, Jay News provided toilet paper and masks for all the locals. Recently, the store has been merged with the previous Have a Break shop next door. This store was owned by the same owners of Jay News long before Mrs and Mr Patel were there. You can really see how lovely the store looks and the extra room for more supplies, helping out people! And one more thing, the owners themselves: Throughout the years that I have been shopping there, they have always been nothing but friendly to me and provided excellent service. Good to have a chat with and always helpful with any queries shoppers might have. Overall, 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
