Really bad service. I'm constantly battling to put money on my son's account and customer service is non-existent. They really don't care. Parentpay is a much better.

Despite school insurance which would have covered it, squidcard have charged a cancellation fee to every parent whose child had a school trip cancelled due to Covid-19. DfE require all schools to have alternative methods of payment so please inquire at your school as to how else you can pay for trips etc. I'm not interested in lining the pockets of companies like this when so many other companies waived their admin fees because of Covid.

The system completely discriminates against separated families, with whichever parent set up their account first having full control and the other only being allowed to top up their child's account as a "family or friend" with absolute no oversight of balance or what's being purchased. It seems unfathomable, but I am informed from squid that there is absolutely no way of me viewing my daughters account, I just have to blindly continue topping up!!! Not to mention I contacted them several times to get absolutely no response. Only when I stated I was making a complaint did I get a response, although clearly it was not treated as a complaint. Unfortunately, I can't comment on how well it works when you can actually have access to your own child's account!
