We tried to visit this tea room yesterday. It opens at 10am. We got there at 10.15 and there was a closed sign on the door. It does also say times can vary at short notice, which is fair enough. What annoyed us was that there were 2 female staff members inside talking and preparing food. One made eye contact with me but chose to totally ignore us and carried on talking. I think that basic manners should come in here, as we stayed for 10 minutes outside in the foyer to see if they would at least have the courtesy to come and acknowledge us or to explain or apologise as to why they werent open. It seems that customer care is not their priority so we left. This left a rather bad taste with us and being this is a church establishment we think some courtesy could have been given. Not impressed.

Lovely tea room belonging to Tewkesbury Abbey serving a reasonable selection of drinks, cakes and a limited selection of hot a cold snacks. The interior is bright and spacious with outdoor seating & tables available in a pleasant setting amongst the trees, toilet facilities here and a very convenient location within the Abbey grounds. Recommended to call in at when visiting the Abbey.
