Come to Sycamore Chapel, in Tewkesbury, a great place to worship on Sunday mornings at 10.30am. Dynamic preachers, great worship songs, friendly people, exciting children's group and messy church once a month.

Wonderful inauguration and Commissioning service held at a full to bursting chapel last week. There were very moving speeches and prayers of dedication. Dan our son is proving to be a powerful minister giving new life to the chapel and its surrounding estate. Alpha course has started and a new childrens worker has been appointed. Several new people have joined and volunteers are helping get the chapel in tip top condition.Fiona is leading worship. The basic principle of the ministry is love of Jesus and of people.

Sycamore Chapel like everywhere else is made up of imperfect people learning to travel the journey together. There have been ups and downs but through it all God is helping us to grow to love each other more and show other people in the area that love too. In the last year Sycamore Chapel has helped non members financially when crisis has hit them, assisted with the Foodbank (if and when asked for vouchers), provided refreshments for trick or treaters on halloween as well as 'bags of hope'. We have given 500 Billy Graham, dvds to local residents . Joined in the local fete providing free activites and gifts for those who visited. There is a thursday afternoon meeting called 'Friendly Circle' where some more 'mature' people meet together for a talk and refreshments (even though any age is welcome). We have a lovely group of volunteers who run a Baby and Toddler group on Fridays. We hold a Tuesday night meeting which might be watching videos, praying, sharing, bible study (always with refreshments). We have young people under the age of 30 taking responsiiblity for flowers in the chapel, making refreshments, helping with IT. We have weddings, funerals, carol services, easter services as well as the weekly service and although have not had a pastor for 1-2 years we are doing our best to reach the community and will guarantee a warm, friendly and loving welcome to anyone who walks through our doors whatever their background, whatever clothes they are wearing, whatever colour their skin is, whatever language they speak, whatever life choices they have made.

personally ive been going to sycamore chapel for about a year. to be honest, Iooking at history of the church and where it is now, I personally would advice that you pick another church/chapel to attend. im not the only one in saying this but a lot of the original members of the chapel left the church due to improper Christian methods being used in the house of God. reports were: bitching and bullying of fellow Christians in the house of God. A church of chapel of God should be welcoming of sinners as well as saints and such behaviour should not be tolerated in the house of God. Please pick another church. God is LOVE not bullying!!!! God bless you!!!
