We stayed in Christmas Cottage for a week in July 2019 and had a fantastic time. Upon arrival we found a hamper with a lovely selection of goodies, including prosecco, fruit, chocolate and croissants. The fridge contained milk, juice and yogurts! The cottage is nicely decorated and very clean. It is set over 3 floors, with 1 bedroom on the top floor, 1 on the 2nd floor along with bathroom and kitchen and living room on the ground floor. It is equipped with a washing machine (we didn't use this) and dishwasher (we used this and it worked well) and there are tablets in the cupboard for both. We've never stayed anywhere else where so much was provided. Apart from food/drink/washing tablets, we saw batteries, plug adaptors and all sorts! It really does feel like you are home from home. The cottage is located at the bottom of a hill, but it doesn't take too long to get to the top (about 1 minute). Tetbury town centre is at the top of the hill, so you probably couldn't find accommodation closer. In the opposite direction is Preston Park, which make for a nice walk, with no need to use a car. The cottage comes with a parking space at the bottom of the hill a few metres from the house, so parking is not a problem. I would thoroughly recommend staying here and will definitely book again if we are staying in this area of the country.

We have just booked to stay again next year. Christmas cottage is charming and comfortable, with homely books and ornaments as well as every practical item that you could want, including dish washer and washing machine. Lindsay, the owner, has thought of everything and we arrived to find the cottage well stocked with essentials like bread, butter, cereal and milk as well as luxuries like wine, crisps and croissants. The beds and chairs are comfortable and the small garden delightful. My wife said that she loved all the feminine touches. The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac that is a few minutes' walk from the town centre, and Lindsay has arranged for guests to have use of a parking bay at the end of the road that is closed against unauthorised use by a removable bollard. Alternatively, on-street parking may be available outside the cottage. Tetbury itself is a pleasant market town with interesting shops and so on. Our custom is not to use the car on our first full day of a holiday, and we had no difficulty occupying ourselves around Tetbury on foot. There is a lot else to do within an easy car journey, including Cirencester, Malmesbury and a selection of country houses. We highly recommend Rodmarton Manor (4 miles) which is filled with amazing arts and crafts furniture and the stunning Abbey Gardens of Malmesbury (founded by naturist gardeners and optional naturist days still available!). Eateries are abundant and we particularly agree with Lindsay's recommendation of "jollynice" farmshop, butchery and caf. A holiday at Christmas Cottage is altogether lovely.

We have stayed here twice . Once last summer when we made elderflower cordial in the magnificent kitchen and visited Highgrove just a couple of Kilometres away - and again just before last Christmas . Each stay was for a week and we have already booked a week this English summer. We have rented cottages / apartments all over the world - Christmas Cottage is the only rental where everything works . Plumbing ,electronics, appliances, heating, rubbish collection,fire-place ,fast internet- it really is just like home. It is situated in an extremely quiet cul de sac with very comfortable beds.. An excellent supermarket is a kilometer away. Easy parking on the street . Friendly cats in the garden. Even freshly made coffee cake is waiting in the kitchen , along with the milk and breakfast cereal and bread and juice. Don't want to sound any more effusive in case it becomes too popular and we need to book years in advance in future ! John & Jean Australia
