Tetbury Market House

Market House is perhaps the most photographic building in Tetbury. Without doubt, it deserves this accolade - it has seen almost 400 years of Tetbury activity and is a Grade 1 listed building. Don't miss it! On the side of the Market House you can spot the town's emblem - metal dolphins affixed to its side wall seem ready to leap into Church Street below. Originally used as a wool and yarn market, it is arcaded on the ground floor with the assembly rooms above. It is designed in the neoclassical style and has many interesting features.

A charming place in a lovely town on one of the routes to Westonbirt Arboretum. Markets are sometimes set up in the open ground floor. What is on sale in a market varies wildly but it is often worth checking out. One thing in common though whenever I've stopped to look it's never been cheap tacky plastic things.
