What an amazing company! Angus and Serena went out of their way to ensure everything worked so well for this project. We had been "scammed" by a company for some slate flooring so we took a trip to see the stone flooring and met Angus who made our day. We had only just found the Heritage Stone Company and wanted to see what they could supply. Such beautiful flooring which is now in our kitchen and front hallway. I can't even begin to recommend this company enough. Angus worked out exactly what we needed and arranged delivery to the door. In case you're wondering - these stones are heavy! It took 2 of us around a week to lay the flooring and colour fix and seal it prior to fitting the new kitchen. It's not cheap and it is made to last, it's proper stone and 20mm thick so does need careful handling. The disc cutter I used as sparingly as possible in order to have as much of the beauty on show without cuts. I am absolutely delighted and if you want to have a stone floor then contact HSC and Angus before looking elsewhere. Thank you so much and I have attached a few pictures - we managed to get everything in ready for Christmas with our family around the table.

We purchased stone from Heritage Stone Company and accepted an estimate and payment terms to install, including a 40% deposit. Immediately after acceptance, Heritage Stone changed payment terms demanding more money up front when work began, and then told their subcontractor to stop work after 3 days, leaving live electrical wires exposed on site. Having spent 50,000, they refused to replace damaged slabs. Our solicitor advises us they are in clear breach of contract and our statutory consumer rights. Their denials and excuses are constant. They did a small bathroom tiling job efficiently so we are not sure whether greed or inexperience is at play here but at least for larger jobs, buyer beware. Update: November 15th, 2021 We commissioned a structural engineer to review the design. He indicated the construction method being build by HSC was suitable for a retaining wall of 0.9m height or less. Our wall was to be between 1.6 and 2.1m high. The engineer was extremely disturbed, and indicated these walls would have failed. HSC declined to share their engineering calculations for the retaining walls, stating this information was proprietary. Unsatisfactory all round.
