Booked a 1/2day slot. Picked up from Frankwell carpark and taken a short drive to montford Bridge. Full safety brief and off we went!! Double canoe , weather was lovely , got busy when we arrived in shrewsbury, but we were experts by then !! 3.5 hours, but we didn't stop anywhere. Loved it!!

Really enjoyed hiring a canoe here in the Quarry but you can also start from Montford Bridge. You can fit 3 in a canoe without any issues and everyone gets to paddle. It felt pretty stable so didn't have any major concerns about falling in.

We had a wonderful time paddling down river with our dog Maya. The wild camping was brilliant and we would happily come back again.

very easy online booking system which is always a huge bonus! everything was as described, the 12 mile route took us just over 4 hours to canoe along it, and it was fantastic! spotting 3 kingfishers on the way was definitely the highlight, would absolutely recommend!

We hired 2 x kyacks 20.08.22. The staff were very friendly and informative and took time to put us at our ease. The day was brilliant from start to finish. We paddled from Montford Bridge to the quarry in Shrewsbury. It was so peaceful, a new vista around every bend. We saw kingfisher, herons, swans, ducks, dragonfly, fish and even a long horned cow came down to the rivers edge for a drink. A great way to explore the river and see a different side of Shrewsbury. We enjoyed a picnic on the rivers edge. It was so quiet. well done Hire a Canoe. We will definitely be back to experience another stretch of the river. Thank you again. Rachel & John Price. Hinstock
