Vine Inn

As always, we were in the local area and so looked out somewhere for Sunday lunch; decided on The Vine Inn as it looked good in the pics and had good reviews. It's a lot bigger than it looks from outside, is very well done on the inside and there were a lot of staff who were all very attentive. We all had a roast and they were all great. The beef was well cooked and plenty of it, our junior diner had turkey which again was a decent size plate for a 7 year old. Even the Yorkshire puds were puffed up and crispy! We did order an extra portion of 'seasonal veg' which was okay but pretty sure mange tout are only seasonal in Africa this time of year! The roasts were a touch on the expensive side, 19 for beef, 17 for turkey, but we're okay with that when the quality and taste make it worth it, which it did on this occasion. Add in the very good staffing levels who were all very welcoming and it made for a great visit. We'd definitely recommend for a great Sunday lunch and if we were in the area again, be a difficult choice to go elsewhere!

We got the end of the pre cooked food that was at different temperatures on the same plate.

The food was really good, the service was a bit slow. They were friendly but not really attending. Maybe because they were understaffed. But give it a try when you're in the area.
