IMMACULATE. Stayed in the shepherds' hut for two nights and enjoyed the most brilliant lesson with Richard. Our welcome was warm, the facilities are excellent and we would thoroughly recommend it. Ignore the unreasonable and unfair review below from the chap who gave it 1/5 stars just because he blanked. Totally unreasonable in my opinion. (Maybe next time book a lesson!) The facilities, hosts, scenery and tuition are all excellent and deserve much higher praise. We will return.

I went along to Tenterden trout fishery having been there a number of times previously over the preceding 10 years and had always found this fishery to be a great place to go not only for the fishing but also the scenery.I attended on Friday 28th October 2022 and paid my 40 pounds for a four fish ticket.I was slightly concerned upon reading the fishery log to see a number of blanks and comments how hard it had been for others.I have been fly fishing for over 20 years and fully accept its fishing not catching and that nothing is guaranteed. I tried all 3 lakes and with 2 rods each with different techniques.I saw very little fish activity on this warm day, apart from carp in the largest lake and unfortunately did not get a single bite for the whole day.It is easy to say well that is down to the fisherman, but having reflected upon the matter believe that the stock levels must be down so until some improvements are made here, I certainly would not recommend the fishery to others. On a positive note, the fishing lodge is excellent including toilet facilities, but this is not matched by the quality of the trout fishing.
