Parkwood Extra Care

I'm absolutely disgusted with the poor quality of the staff and the way they treat residents and their family's. I've recently been the Parkwood to care for my Nan and I was faced with nothing but ignorance. My grandmother asked the lady on reception if this was acceptable for myself and my partner (who doesn't live in the area and is doing the national lockdown at my house) to come in, the lady at reception did not have a issue with us both entering the building. When we arrived this was definitely not the case. we were confronted by two members of staff, Too which they refused us access. My partner was then told to either stand outside in the snow or to walk around the local shop/supermarket; to which i refused as i was told she would able to come in (otherwise she would not of came with me in the first place). We were then threatened with the police, In the meantime there were young people walking back and fourth through the building and nothing at all was said. After calling my Nan I then decided that the best option was just to go in and give her care. Finally, not even half an hour later i was out of the building. It really didn't need to get to this extent, To me it seemed like one rule for one and one for another.

I think it is very unprofessional that when I asked the basic costs, ie rental, service charge & care per hour they refused to say unless I had a tour. Sanctuary were more than happy to tell me their costs so I can only wonder as to why Wrekin Housing Trust wouldnt give such basic information.

Used to be good but is no longer CQC registered. Was hard to get a tenancy here but then they let in one awful tenant who does drugs and is disruptive to many residents and has caused endless problems. Gone way downhill and standard of care from Accord is awful. Now - FREE T SHIRTS with caption reading PARKWOOD - in my opinion A CIRCUS RUN BY A CLOWN
