Granddaughter as she purchased 2 items for exactly 20.00 and paid cash .
I was at the door way at the time encouraging money independence & asked nicely if she could have the free 3 item worth 8.00. She was not given a receipt & was told bizarrely by the manager it was in their bin behind the counter which they would not get ,so nothing could be done .After questioning their actions & there duty of care selling to a 5 year old, l was told about my poor parenting skills & how l was causing a problem, told to leave the shop or security would be called, which l did as granddaughter was now very distressed!
Claires is normally is a great shop for children but on this occasion, horrible decisions were made by its Management.
