Purchased an appliance which became faulty within 2 months, did not want to know & refused a refund. Contacting trading standards and pursuing through small claims court.

My sister bought me a Bosch coffee machine from Strawberry Trading as a thank you for all the help I had given her when her partner died. When I started to use the coffee machine right from the very first time it was making a banging noise and only making a half cup of coffee. My sister complained and they telephoned today to ask me to send it back for repair at my cost. I told them that I am on benefit and cannot to spend minimum 5 to post a heavy coffee machine back to them for repair and asked whether could just send a new one with a collection note to pick up the faulty one. They said NO and no matter how much I tried to explain how difficult it is to live on benefit due to disability, to spend 5 to return a coffee machine was not an option, and unless I return the machine and pay the postage they are not able to help. I am in a no win situation, I cannot afford to return it and cannot use it, and they refuse to send a collection note and a new coffee machine.
