Wouldn't leave a star if I could of done it without clicking on one terrible service waiting to buy a hamster customers getting served before us who was there after staff just standing on tills with no customers shocking service

I recently used the vets at Pets at home and I would NEVER use them again. My recent consultation with a vet cost me 36 for 10 min. Throughout this consultation the vet was clearly disinterested in my pet and me. They at one point inserted a thermometer into my pet, the devise read 1 degree..clearly the devise was faulty as unless my pet was deceased the temperature would of been higher! During the procedure my pet was cleaning distressed, however he continued, saying she is that cold the devise will not capture the temperature The devise was clearly faulty. My pet was weighed during the consultation- When prescribing the antibiotics the vet asked me if I remembered my pets weight, I did not. He relied its ok. So when he prescribed the antibiotics he had no idea of her weight! The bottle of antibiotics that were given to me was in a concentrated form and due to this I was unable to administer the required dose correctly as most of the liquid was covering. The very small bottle. After the vet examined my pet and prescribed antibiotics- they asked me to go back to the waiting room to sit and wait for my prescription. I said are you not going to give her some antibiotics now he said I do not have any mixed up, i will see what the que is in the waiting room, can you wait outside? I said can you give her the medication now he reluctantly administered antibiotics to my pet and was very clearly not happy. This vet should not be allowed to continue to practice. My pet was a my pet hamster and i truly believe that because of this the vet did not treat me with any respect and gave me an extremely poor customer service. Regardless of what my pet was, I am a customer paying for a service. I also have two dogs - and if and when my two babies require any veterinary care in their future. I certainly will NOT be using this practice. Clearly they are just out to make money and dont care at all about animals, For the past 6 days I have loved and cared for my hamster, feeding her by hand every hour, cleaning her and keeping her warm. As a massive lover of animals - it doesnt matter if I bring a hamster, a rat, a rabbit, a dog or a cat to the vets. As a CUSTOMER- I expect to receive the same level of service.

Shouldnt be allowed to sell reptiles. They are kept in tiny enclosures with no enrichment whatsoever. The staff are kind but most know nothing about reptiles, a man I spoke to today didnt even know what morph meant.

Good for all pet needs. Can be a bit overpriced on some items.
