Went here for Jackie's and it was a fab day. Great little pub, with a really good atmosphere. There is a car park opposite too

The Lion Inn is a nice friendly pub. It has a nice comfortable decor. Nine of us came for dinner. Six of us had a nice good value dinner but three of us our dinners that weren't of the same quality especially the chips. My fish on batter was over cooked. The chips were poor quality and undercooked. Other members of my party had nicely browned chips and had no complaints. It was a bit uneven. The staff were attentive and dealt with the problem in a sensible way. The menu is a bit limited, mostly chips. It would be good to have a couple of rice and curry options and a bangers and mash option. The pub keeps a range of real ales. When we arrived only one real ale, Landlord by Timothy Tailor was available. Other beers came on steam later in the evening. They have nice spaces for groups to sit quietly together.
