Great training from Jim and his team. Was made to feel comfortable from the moment I arrived on site. The vehicle I trained in was clean, tidy and well maintained! Very through training days and I felt well prepared for my test. Would highly recommend AVT!

I have just completed my Cat C (old Class 2) Licence with Jim from Approved Vocational Training (AVT). Being older and set in my ways and also experienced in driving 7.5t vehicles, I needed the rough edges taking off. Jim is thorough, a good instructor and tells it how it is. No punches pulled, he taught me what I needed to know, where I was going wrong and what to do to get it right. No soft and fluffy hype, just facts. I can highly recommend Jim to anyone wishing to take up HGV driving. He has a vast amount of experience to pass on to new learners gained from his career in the Army and civilian employment since. He builds a good rapport with you and gets the results you need. Being a single instructor school, you get a personal 1to1 service. No mucking about, he will have you test ready in just a few days of driving. He will arrange the tests for you from the training centre in Telford.
