Had a very negative experience in here today and it's really bothered us. I went in with my stepdad at about 11:30 this morning and while there, my stepdad found a blanket that he liked and wanted to purchase. He asked the worker at the till how much it was and the worker replied that it wasn't for sale as it was part of a box full of things that hadn't been sorted through yet. We thought that was fair enough and went about our day of shopping. About an hour later, we walked past the shop and as I glanced in the window, I saw a woman holding the blanket and looking at it. The item was in the same place and had not been sorted through yet. The man brought her to the till and ALLOWED HER TO BUY IT. My stepdad went in and asked the worker why he wasn't allowed to buy it just an hour earlier and this lady was allowed to? The woman began apologising but it's not her fault at all, she didn't know any of this. The worker REMAINED SILENT and didn't even acknowledge that he was being spoken to. At least apologise or explain why you've done things this way? Honestly so rude. I've had issues with the staff in here before, where I've bought a pile of books and asked for a bag at the counter only to be told the word "no". And that's it. No "we don't have any bags at the moment, sorry". Just the word "no". I said "do you have no bags?" And he said "no". So I awkwardly left and got a bag in the shop next door. Clearly the staff need some kind of training on how to speak to people and the way they deal with certain situations. A shame to see a charity shop that we are trying to support be filled with such miserable and rude staff.
