Hartshill Car Sales

Unfortunately I had an awful experiance with Hartshill Car Sales around 9 months ago. I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to post this review, nevertheless I'll explain the problem. In October last year I was looking for a new car, ideally on finance, just for background - I hadn't bought a car from a garage before nor had finance and I was 21 and female (still am female lol). Hartshill is not far away from where I live and I thought I'd give it a go. Upon arrival Paul came and helped me out, showed me a few cars and I decided I liked one which was around 4.5k, went to get the finance paperwork signed and noticed that there were two percentage rates - fixed rate and APR. At this point I didn't know what the difference was but one was much higher than the other so I asked Paul who was unsure also. So I continued anyway, signed up for the finance and thought to myself, I'll ring the finance company and ask them what the difference was. Once I got home I did that, the finance company couldn't explain it either and told me to 'Google it', because of this I said to the finance company that I'd like to cancel the finance with them - if they don't know the difference then there isn't much hope surely?! After this I call back to Hartshill to ask for a different finance company, when I call Simon picks up the phone, I ask to speak to Paul, he asks my name so I tell him and before I have chance to speak he says to me "The finance company have just called me, I know what you've done. I suggest you don't go to any more garages as a lone female as you don't understand finance" at the time I didn't know what to say back, especially as I was calling to ask for a different finance company so I said Ok and put the phone down. Jokes on you in the end really as I ended up going to Furrows, buying a 9.5k car but not only did you miss out on that, I travel lots of miles for my job, since October I've done 30,000+ so you've also lost out on 3 car services and any work that needed to be done . Don't let sexism win and Simon maybe you should pop over to Saudi Arabia instead as women aren't allowed to drive over there. Oh and also, I know the difference between fixed rate and APR now so let me know if you want me to explain it to you . Thanks Jade
