Exotic Zoo

This zoo is on our doorstep so don't understand why we haven't been to the new premises before. Great value for money, the animals all seem to be well looked after with large pens to roam around in. Plenty chances to hear all about the animals and pet them. Overall think its a wonderful place, only reason I marked it down was the first pen we came to, capybara, was overran with rats! I know this probably can't be helped, but wasn't nice to see.

I booked the VIP keeper experience for my fianc's birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. We got to pick eight animals we wanted to feed/meet and for us this was the genet, civet, foxes, bullfrog, capybara, skunk, armadillos and kinkajou. We spent 30 minutes learning about and preparing the food for each animal then headed off round the zoo to distribute. We entered each enclosure and got incredible up close experiences with each animal. We've done a number of other experiences at other places and this was by far our favourite. The keeper Sinead (Sam) was very knowledgeable and informative but quite relaxed and easy to get along with. We loved every single second! If you're an animal nerd like us and want to get up close with some unusual animals and have a great value afternoon meeting a wide range of animals and an experience you will never forget, you can't possibly be disappointed with this.

Myself and my family recently had the pleasure of going on a personal tour of this zoo with Sam, and I must say that it was an incredible experience. Sam was knowledgeable, passionate, and attentive throughout the entire tour, and she truly made the experience unforgettable. From the moment we met, Sam was warm and welcoming. She took the time to learn about my children's interests and preferences, tailoring the tour to suit their needs perfectly. Her knowledge of the animals and their behaviors was truly impressive, and she shared her insights with enthusiasm, answering all of our questions with patience and clarity. The entire team were so warm and welcoming, Engaging with every visitor, Unfortunately i cannot remember everyone's names, But bravo, You're all doing so awesome! What really set Sam apart was her ability to connect with the animals, Watching her interact with the animals it was clear that she had a deep respect and love for them. Her passion for conservation and education was also evident throughout the tour, and she made sure to highlight the important work being done to protect these amazing creatures. Overall, I can't recommend Sam highly enough. Her personal tour of the zoo was the highlight of the trip, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to learn from her. If you're looking for an exceptional zoo experience, look no further than Sam. She truly is a gem and a credit to the team. It's really great to see how far the Exotic zoo has come from it's previous location, albeit it was great back then too! the work gone in to the enclosures and welfare for the animals is great! We booked the VIP Family Experience and we were not disappointed. On arriving we were given a list of the animals we could choose from to take around with us. We explored the zoo and had lots of fun and interactions before we even got to start our experience. There were lots of staff around, providing talks and chances to meet various animals. Wed had a great visit before our experience even started. All the enclosures looked amazing and enriching and the whole place was clean, and tidy, even the toilets lol. Later we met with Sam, who took our list of choices and once we started she gathered lots of food for us to feed the different animals. She gave us a fantastic experience. She has a great personality and gave us lots of information and interaction with each animal and answered our many questions. She never rushed us and we felt we had a good amount of time with every animal we met. We were able to get lots of photo opportunities and had so much fun even with being rained on at times. This was such an amazing experience and definitely worth every penny. I would highly recommend visiting and if you can stretch to get one of the experiences, you will not be disappointed. Big thanks to all the staff at Exotic Zoo who made this a great day and a massive thank you to Sam who was absolutely awesome!!!
