It's such a shame how this company is managed as they have top of the range facilities and equipment but it's managed in a non professional way. Upper management have absolutely no idea how to run a foundry/die casting environment and are very shallow in their relations with the workforce. The state of the machines and facility in a production, maintenance and cleanliness capacity is awful considering it is only a couple years old. I've worked in die casting foundries 20 years old with less efficient kit and they are not as dirty or poor at production than at CCUK. They really will struggle when volume starts to increase Ignorant managers who are very poor at providing support, communication, training, tools etc. That isn't just specific to the maintenance department it's across all departments. HR will ignore you when you request information from them too.. Their policies and procedures are not set out to safeguard the user and are only there as a formality to obtain their ISO accreditation, that's if they actually have them in place at all. Maintenance management are rude, belittling, poor at communication, poor at support, poor at people skills and ignorant. Numerous times I was told by the maintenance manager that the department are " knuckle draggers, idiots, hard to manage etc" management speak openly about the department behind your back and will happily talk about you to others behind your back which then makes its way back via rumours. Have also been called bipolar from management Infront of peers. They also decide to implement policies which haven't been agreed to inline with GDPR and people's consent.. Alot of people leave due to these issues including high level management - moral is low across the company. Overall I wouldn't recommend this company to work for until it's had a management reshuffle.

I had applied to go to Cosma Castings through Randstad. I was given a start date of Monday 28th September after sitting through tests, online courses etc. I arrived at plant at 5.30am as requested only to be told there was no job. I contacted agency and they remained silent until today when they told me there was no job.
